Little Big Day: Civil wedding in the Old Town Hall of Hanover, Germany

Getting Ready, wedding ceremony in the historic registry office in the Lower Saxony state capital & celebration with close family

I had the honor to accompany Heidrun and Dirk’s relaxed wedding day with their closest family – from the getting ready, through the wedding ceremony in the registry office of the historic old town hall and the stopover at the Zeitfür restaurant on the banks of the Leine to the cozy end at home. The bride and groom celebrated with their loved ones in a familiar, well-thought-out and carefully planned setting, including a cycle rickshaw ride. As a wedding photographer in Hanover I love ceremonies at the Old Town Hall registry office – from here and the nearby restaurants, you can quickly reach both the Leine river and Hanover’s old town with its historic German architecture and surroundings, which offer many great locations for a wide variety of couple photos. That day we only had a short “on the go time slot” planned for a few classic wedding shots of the bride and groom. We occupied a sunny park area right near the restaurant until it was time for lunch. Little big shots :)
